You always hear talk about looking at the big picture, how in the end everything will add up and make sense. It’s great to think about things that way, but often people get so involved at looking to the future that they forget to look at what’s happening now.
I’ve been here at UCI for two years now and I’ve run across a fair amount of people who dismiss the things they’re dealing with and think of them only as a small fraction of the big picture. It’s like forgetting to keep your eye on the ball and instead only looking toward the scoreboard.
