Two UC Irvine professors, political science professor Alison Brysk and professor of computer science Gene Tsudik, were awarded 2006-07 Fulbright Scholar grants.
The Fulbright Scholar Program is an academic exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and institutions abroad that selects U.S. and foreign scholars based on professional and academic achievements.
Brysk, who will be the Visiting chair in Global Governance at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, Waterloo, Canada, will also be researching the various networks of states that encourage human rights in the global system.
Tsudik will conduct his research and teach computer and network privacy at the University of Rome (La Sapienza). In addition, he will start a graduate course on the subject at the university.
