UC Irvine Engineering Dean Elected to National Academy of Engineering
Nicolaos G. Alexopoulos, dean of UC Irvine’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering and professor of electrical engineering and computer science, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering, a distinction rewarding a lifetime of top-rated work in engineering.
Alexopoulos joins the National Academy with 64 other new members and nine foreign associates. His contributions to microwave circuits, antennas and structures for low observable technologies were cited as the primary reasons for his election.
