Drum beats, fantastic choreography and talented acting brought chills to the audience of ‘Macbeth: A Love Story’ on a chilly spring night. Under the brilliant direction of Amanda McRaven and a band of rebellious thespians, the spirit of William Shakespeare was resurrected at the Wednesday, May 9 opening performance in the Maya Lin Arts Plaza by the whispering benches. By the end of the night, the audience was left echoing such immortal words as, ‘Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, Creeps in this petty pace from day to day.’ Even those unfamiliar with theater could enjoy the play’s dramatic setup and contemporary flair that gave old Bill’s play some youthful spunk.
