For the second game in a row, UC Irvine waited until the final innings before its offense had the last say in the final score’s outcome.
Although the game was in fact a makeup game for Sunday’s series finale at Nevada, which was cancelled due to snow, Monday’s game marked the official season opener at Anteater Ballpark. The first six innings, however, provided virtually no excitement for UCI fans in their first glance at this year’s Anteaters.
