Manuel Gomez’s Retirement Ceremony
On August 18, 2010 UCI said goodbye to Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Manuel Gomez after retiring from 38 years of service to the campus and its students. New University photographer Jason Davis was on the scene to document the ceremony.

The Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Michael Arias presented Manuel Gomez with a dedicated chair.
Manuel Gomez takes home a $100,000 check donation from an anonymous donor made in his name to the XIV Dalai Lama Endowed Scholarship, which he had founded.
