Fashion maven and “Project Runway” mentor Tim Gunn visited Fashion Island to speak with audiences at the “Tim Gunn Wants You to Make It Work” event on Saturday, April 16. The event included a fashion show and a Q&A session.

Freshman Calvin Chu, who last week raised over $1,000 for Japan through his bake sale, raised an additional $2,0000 by coordinating a charity concert on Tuesday, April 12 which featured performers such as YouTube superstar and UCI student Joseph Vincent as well as a capella group Circle of Fifths (pictured).

In keeping with the theme of sustainability, Wayzgoose also featured a fashion show where students created their own pieces of clothing using only recyclable items.  Elizabeth, the winner of $100 pictured here, made her dress out of newspapers.
