Mad Film Dash held their 7th awards ceremony, complete with red carpet, at Pacific Ballroom on Tuesday, May 24th. “Sidekick Jenny” won the ultimate prize of Best Picture while Voter’s Choice is still yet to be determined. Voting is open for students until June 5 on the official Mad Film Dash website: http://mfd.computerstore.uci.edu/

Manuel Gomez speaks with Professor of the Year winner Caesar Sereseres at the 2011 Teaching, Learning & Technology Celebration of Teaching Awards Ceremony, currently in its 18th year. The award is given to professors and lecturers selected from over 60 nominations from across campus.

UCI associate professor of psychology & social behavior and education Elizabeth Cauffman was recently awarded $3.8 million to study juvenile offenders. Her work will help determine which juvenile offenders should be processed in the justice system and which could be sent to other forms of prosecution. The results from this study should aid those who work with delinquent youths.

Cal State Long Beach professor Sebouh Aslanian presented his studies in his book From the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean: The Global Trade Networks of Armenian Merchants from New Julfa on May 24 to UCI students and faculty.
