Men’s Cross Country


The Anteaters concluded their season with a 25th place finish at the NCAA West Regional in Seattle last Friday.

Junior Isaiah Thompson led the pack for the fourth time this season, finishing 130th with a time of 33:55.9 in the 10,000 meter race at the Jefferson Park Golf Course.

Behind Thompson was freshman Branden Randall, who placed 133th in 33:58.3, junior Nolan Del Valle at 141st with 34:06.3, freshman Eric Lawver at 164th with 34:44.4, sophomore Izzak Mireles at 174th with 35:03.5 and freshman Andrew Graciano at 195th with 36:05.1.


Women’s Cross Country


UCI finished its 2015 season with a 35th place finish at the NCAA West Regional last Friday.

The Anteaters were led by junior Pearl Law, who finished 189th with a time of 23:32.7 in the 6,000-meter course at Jefferson Park Golf Course.

Following Law was senior Courtney Sharar at 208th with 23:51.6, freshman Megan Mirkhanian at 215 with 24:01.2, freshman Lisa Vasquez at 224 with 24:14.0, junior Aliya Shah at 225th with 24.17.8, freshman Hallie Pullum at 231st with 24:40.3 and freshman Yulissa Mendoza at 237 with 25:10.2.


Women’s Tennis


The Anteaters wrapped up their fall season at the second San Diego State University (SDSU) Fall Classic over the weekend.

Junior transfer Taylor LeFridge shined for the Anteaters in the Black Draw for singles, winning her Friday and Saturday matches, but the Corona native came up short in her final match on Sunday, falling in straight sets to Samantha Czarniak from the University of Arizona.

The Anteaters will begin their season on Jan. 16 with a home opener against Grand Canyon University at Anteater Tennis Stadium.
