UCI Honors Veterans With A mEmorial Flag Ceremony

UC Irvine honored United States veterans during the UCI Memorial Flag Ceremony this past Thursday, May 23; salutes were made to those both in active duty as well as in the reserve and guard forces. The ceremony, which ran from noon to 1:00 p.m., included military speakers from older veterans to military students who continue to serve this country.

Associated Students and the Disabilites ​Servcies​ Center collaborate to Host panel on Intersectionality and Diversity

On Thursday, May 9th, the Associated Students of UCI and the Disabilities Services Center collaborated to put together a panel on Intersectionality Diversity. The panel consisted of the Program Coordinator of the Womxn’s Hub Adrian Williams, the Associate Vice Chancellor of the Wellness, Health and Counseling Services Dr. Marcelle Hayashida, and a commission for the internal vice president of ASUCI Jenna Gotte.

#MeToo Founder Tarana Burke Comes to UC Irvine

The UCI Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) hosted “Moving Beyond Me Too” with Tarana Burke, leader of the Me Too movement, to a sold out audience at the Barclay Theatre on April 22. Burke’s presence was part of the “Perspectives on: Bias, Prejudice, and Bigotry” series, a component of OIE’s “Confronting Extremism” initiative.
