New TAO Connect Program Promotes Self-Help Resources For Students

The digital platform Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) became available for UCI students to promote self-help services on Aug. 16, 2018. Founder and chief science officer of TAO Connect, Dr. Sherry Benton, explained that TAO’s upbringing was centered around her own experience with students and mental health.

UC Irvine Becomes the First UC to Have Unlimited Access to Content from the Wall Street Journal

The UCI Libraries and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) entered a partnership which provides sponsored WSJ memberships for all students, faculty and staff at UCI as of late March. The partnership makes UC Irvine the first UC to have unlimited access to content from the Wall Street Journal. Anyone with a UCInetID now has access to wsj.com, the WSJ mobile app, as well as the WSJ plus platform — a membership loyalty program featuring special features.

UCI Dance Department’s annual faculty-run show, Dance Visions, featured incredibly choreographed works from renowned dancers during its four-performance run at the Irvine Barclay Theatre from Feb. 21 to Feb. 23.

The SKY Campus Happiness Program occurred in the Student Center at UCI from Jan. 24-27. Hosted by the Sky Meditation Club at UCI, the immersive 16-hour event was “an innovative and experiential life-skills training and self-development program for college students,” according to the program’s scholarship application.
