Men’s Basketball Loses Black and Blue Game

The UC Irvine men’s basketball team matched up against Big West Conference rival Long Beach State this past Wednesday in a game that had both teams rolling to start the season, coming off a win from each of their previous match-ups.

UCI Men’s Basketball Opens Conference Play With Win Over UC Davis

On January 10, UC Irvine Men’s basketball team faced off against conference rival UC Davis Aggies at home. It was the first regular season game for both teams, who have had intense and deciding match-ups in the previous two seasons.

UCI Ends Winter Break and Non-conference Play With a Win

UCI closes out winter break with an 85-74 win over the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The ‘Eaters improved to 12-4 after taking two tough losses on the road during winter break to Butler 54-71 and Pacific 75-84 in overtime.

‘Eaters Finish Strong beat Montana 60-51

UCI beat the University of Montana basketball team on Dec. 8 after an arduous but well-played neck-and-neck race to the final buzzer.

Eater’s Fall to Utah State 63-87

UCI fell to Utah State on Dec. 1 in one of their most anticipated preseason home games. Utah, second seed in the Mountain West Conference, was expected to make for good competition, having only lost one game. However, their defense and consistent shooting locked out UCI to a 63-87 defeat.
